1. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once we receive a 30% non-refundable deposit via bank transfer, credit card, or approved payment method. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

2. Pricing

All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) per person and are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed. Prices include all items listed under "What's Included" in the respective trek/tour page. Items listed under "What's Not Included" are the responsibility of the client.

3. Cancellation Policy

More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus deposit and bank charges
15-30 days before departure: 50% refund of total cost
Less than 15 days before departure: No refund
No-show or early departure: No refund

In case of cancellation due to natural disasters, political instability, or pandemics, we offer full credit for a future trip regardless of timing.

4. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all trekkers. Your policy must cover high-altitude trekking up to the maximum elevation of your chosen route and include emergency helicopter evacuation coverage (minimum $100,000 recommended). Without valid insurance documentation, we reserve the right to deny participation.

5. Health & Fitness

Clients must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions at the time of booking. Our guides reserve the right to alter itineraries or evacuate trekkers if their health or safety is at risk. Any additional costs incurred due to medical evacuation are the responsibility of the client and their insurance provider.

6. Itinerary Changes

While we make every effort to follow published itineraries, changes may occur due to weather, trail conditions, flight delays, natural disasters, or safety concerns. We reserve the right to modify routes and schedules as necessary. No refund will be provided for itinerary changes made in the interest of safety.

7. Liability

Candeo Himalaya Treks acts as an agent for transportation, accommodation, and other services. We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by third-party providers, weather, natural disasters, or circumstances beyond our control. Trekking at altitude carries inherent risks, and clients participate at their own risk.

8. Responsible Trekking

All clients must adhere to leave-no-trace principles, respect local customs and cultures, follow guide instructions, and comply with national park regulations. Any behavior deemed dangerous, disrespectful, or illegal may result in removal from the trek without refund.
